All motorized vehicles parked on-campus at any time by students, employees (including service vehicles), and visitors must be properly registered. Permit owners will be held responsible for citations issued to vehicles.

A motor vehicle may be registered by the owner or primary operator of the vehicle by one of the following methods:

  • Students: Select the "virtual parking permit" option during the automated pre-registration process. If you want the charge for the permit added to your student fees, you must select this option before the posted fee payment deadline.
    • Payment method: Payment via student account in Banner (via financial aid or out-of-pocket per the VSU Bursary payment policies) after semester fees have been assessed; in the portal with a credit card; or in the Parking & Transportation office via FLEX.
  • Guests: Complete the Vehicle Permit Registration section in the Online Parking Portal. Use the “guest” login option.
  • Full-Time VSU Employees: In the Online Parking Portal, you have the option to use payroll deduction* (when purchasing a permit during Fall or Spring Semester) or by credit card.
*Policy of Financial Good Standing indicates that if for any reason employment ends, any and all debts with the University will be deducted from the final paycheck.
    • Payment method: Payroll deduction option or credit card in the customer portal.
  • · VSU Departments Requesting Contractor/Vendor/Visitor Permits: Please submit a completed Visitor Permit Application to parking@valdosta.edu; include the duration that the permit is needed and location of work to be completed in the email.
